Tonight's Hallowe'en hatch was a great success!

We didn't know the chatroom had a maximum capacity of ten people until we broke it at eleven. Grin I had to reset the max capacity to let Pete in.

It was a great evening. We started it off by wishing Fry a happy eighteenth birthday. Nik, Rachelle and I were even able to sing him happy birthday on the voice chat widget!

Then Dilja shared a really cool Icelandic folktale that inspired the name of her Tamagotchi.

Some of us didn't hatch anything, but most of us did - and some even hatched two! A wide variety of Tamagotchi types were hatched.

I hope everyone will use this space to keep their log of the special Hallowe'en Tama they hatched at the group hatch. Smiley When you do, please include:

  • the type of Tama you hatched
  • the gender and name of the baby
  • any stories that explain how you chose the name - especially spooky stories!
  • what your Tamagotchi grew into after the first hour

We ended up not having enough people by the end who wanted to play Vampires. There were about four of us who really wanted to, but I don't think that's enough people for a good game. So maybe another time.

I can start this off with my own log!

Type of Tama: Akai
Gender and name: girl, Hitodama
Spooooky story: I got this name from the Obakemono Project, but I'd known of the creatures from Japanese cartoons I watched as a kid. These little fireballs/will-o-the-wisps were always my favourite Japanese spirit, and I thought it would be especially cute for a little red Tamagotchi. Cheesy
What she grew into: a Cherrytchi! Oh!

I found the screen VERY difficult to see in my bedroom lighting, so I didn't really bother much with playing games during Hitodama's infancy. I varied her meals and snacks a lot though. She lives in a very respectable plain white shell. She grew up into a Cherrytchi, which is actually breaking my heart it is so cute. She went straight to bed after collecting the 100 Gotchi Points she earned from growing up.

Can't wait to hear your stories!

Great hatch everyone!

Type of Tama: Connection V4.5 (red with butterflies, or as I like to call them Flutterbys)
Gender and name: girl, Nykur (it's actually a guy's name but for the sake of Halloween she gets to be named that anyway)
Spooooky story: the really cool Icelandic folktale Elana mentioned in the previous post. In short it's about this horse (Nykur) whose hoofs are turned back to front and if you get on it's back it takes you to it's home, which is a river or a lake and you drown.
What she grew into: Hotodetchi, such a cute little blob. Been a while since we last met since he hasn't been around since V2.

I like the only game I've been able to play with her so far, climb and it will be exciting to see the games that unlock and also the new careers she will be able to get as she grows up.

It was a great hatch, a lot of people showed and we had a great time telling spooky stories and such.

Happy Halloween everybody!!

Well, well. I heard you guys had a great time, wish I could be there.
So now I'm about to hatch my little fellows.

Type of Tama.1: Debirutchi no Tamagotchi(I like the full name, lol)
Gender and name: boy, Taimatsu-maru.
Spooooky story: is found here
What he grew into: He's still a baby/toddler, Deviltchi. I've never really understood Devilgotchi. It seems like they go from baby->teen->adult->secret character and just skip the toddler stage... or maybe the baby stage. I don't know.

Now to his counterpart!

Type of Tama.2: Tamagotchi Angel(Yes, the US one!).
Gender and name: girl, Kirin.
Spooooky story: is found here
What she grew into: Maruten.

As you could see, I've hatched my Angel before my Devil.
At the moment I'm having a hard time with this little bugger. He need constant care, and he refuses to everything!
But what could I say? He's a devil after all, and a cute one! =D
He've also played a trick on me- already. Lol.
While Kirin, my sweet little angel is peaceful and loving.

Will be sure to keep y'all updated.

Happy Halloween!!

              Basan's and Kirin's first day

I hatched 2 V3s and i named them Basan and Kirin.They were a boy and a girl.
Kirin is kinda like the origianal chineese dragen and Basan is like a rooster and a chicken and a turkey and an ostrich altogether.

After I hatched them me and Elanas tamas kinda did every movement together.
They didnt do very much for the first hour but then they went to sleep.
This mornig as i was watching some vidios and studying Basan and Kirin transformed into that triangle character. I cant remember his name though. Right now they are as happy as ever and they are bobbeling around the screen.

Im going to start a new thing in the logs I reply to like this one. Im going to say: In their friends list Basan has 3 smileys under Kirins name. Kirin has 4 smileys under Basans name. Its okay with me if you want to do that in your posts. i give you permission.

I have to give props to you Nik for that name. The Omen is one of my all time favourite films, I've always loved the name Damien. Grin

Awesome movie, trilogy for that matter counting the first three.

Look forward to reading this log of the Halloween hatch, of the children of the damned. =)

I personally love the name Dyer since I just love the Exorcism 1 and 2.

Both of my Tama's evolved:

Taimatsu-maru turned into (a teen?!) Pukudebitchi. I think it's the "healthiest" teen/toddler.
It probably is since he plays tricks and pranks on me all the time and I've to discipline him!
His DP is around 30 or so.
I'd be cool if he grow into the evil Mametchi Debiru Mametchi. It's kinda cute.
Other than the tricks and pranks he's fine. A bit needier than his counterpart. ;O

Kirin is fine and healthy... and innocent.
She've turned into Takoten. I don't get the evolution process at all on Angel's.
Hopefully she'll turn into a Taraten. Those are cute.
Or Oyajitenshi. But then I'd have to keep the AP at 0, I think. Anyhow, Oyajitenshi also gives the uber cute secret character Otonoten!
However, those two doesn't look very much feminine, do they?

That's all about my Angel and Devil for now.
Gotta rush to univ.

I'm a day late replying to this thread, hehe!

The Halloween Hatching was excellent, one of the best group hatches yet! Cheesy I had been pondering all week about what to hatch, and in the end I decided a P2 would be just perfect. I decided to hatch one of my newest that I got in a big bulk of Tamas this past summer - a blue/silver w/ character images of Hashizotchi and Pochitchi on the shell.

So I pulled my tab at 10pm St. John's time, and at exactly 10:05 he hatched into a shirobabitchi! I cared for my little one while chatting with everyone, and talking on mic.

An hour later he became a Tonmarutchi. I heard a little changing tune and then screen faded. Being that it was after 11pm, he made one little jiggle around the screen and then fell asleep. Smiley My little fellow awoke at 9am the next morning.

Being that I don't name my Tamas, I don't have a spooky name/story to give. Tongue Hehe. My Tonmarutchi was sick today, and will soon be changing into a Tongaritchi. My hopes are to raise a Zukitchi, followed by getting the secret character, Zachi. I hope I can pull it off!

I leave you with a picture of my Tonmarutchi, taken today. It's rather blurry, but that's because I can't take pictures! Tongue I love this color Tama though!

Excellent hatching everyone! ^^

                       Basan and Kirins second day.

I woke up and went to check on Kirin and Basan. I had left them off pause for the night hoping to get them to evolve in to a teen.  I took care of their messes and fed them ans suprisingly, Kirin transformed first! *Basan usually does everything first* then basan transformed too. They changed into the same characters though. in case you are wondering, they transformed into that character with a big grin on his face. (V3 characters) I thought I'de leave them off pause while I went to school. Unfortunatly, nothing happened except a few poops.

I want them to be 4 so bad. thats the age they can get married.  Is anyone's tama on 2nd gen or higher?
So i guess this pretty much endes their 2nd day. Ill post their 3rd day tommorrow after school.
                      Basan and Kirin's 2nd day.

Damien, the orange/black P2 became a Tongaritchi yesterday. I had been waiting all day for his call of discipline, and it never came.  Maybe I missed it, but I doubt it.  At any rate, this morning right as he woke up he called for discipline so he's now at 75%.  Just ONE MORE!  I'm aiming to get Pochitchi.

Sadako finally changed this morning..I got the unhealthy teen Mochimotchi, probably because I accidentally set the time for 3 AM the other day instead of 3 PM so she has been sleeping for literally 24 hours...I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it might.  At any rate, she got her first discipline a few minutes ago.

Dyer became a Nikatchi. Sad Not really a good character at all..He probably became him because the stupid Jump game is so annoying to play so I had to resort to feeding him snacks.  Blargh!  Well I hope I still get a good character.  I'd like to get Mametchi or Noyorotchi!
