Sort of a tongue twister... eh? Well, I was searching other forums yesterday cos I was so bored in class, and I came upon this one site. Do you ever want to design your own tamagotchi connection/connexion? Well, you can't exactly design your own tamagotchi, but you can sure make a skin for it! It's made out of vinyl, and you can design both the front and the back. It's called a Tego Tamagotchi Skin (link!). I went and checked it out for myself, with a very simple design just to show you guys. I believe you can design laptop and cell phone skins on this as well. It says they're vinyl, so I believe that they should be easily removable and very durable and long-lasting.

You enter the site, and choose to design your own skin, and you get redirected to a page where you choose to start designing either the front or the back first; whatever suits you better. Once clicked, you enter a page where you can add in photos, choose the color, add writing to it, etc. It looks like this:

design the front...

...or the back!

Once finished, you can either edit it or proceed to checkout (I tried to find a way to design multiple backs and fronts in the same order, but I couldn't find it), where it costs $5 for each one, plus shipping and handling. It came out to a total of $13 to ship to New Jersey. I really like this concept, but I really like the colors of my tamas, so unless I get one that i cannot stand for a present or something, I think I'll put this project off for myself until later.

Hope you all enjoy!

That looks pretty awesome! I might just have to investigate that!  With shipping though it might not even be worth it.

Yeah, it does seem a bit steep to ask $13 for just a skin for a tamagotchi >.<

Coolish!
Pfft, I don't care if it would cost me $20 even! As long as I could get the chance to design my own Kuchipatchi Tama and cellphone design. :3

Or the two baby Kuchipatchis!

I hope they'll offer something like that for us Europeans!
Or I could always do it myself.

I was actually thinking about designing a complete Kuchi Kuchi tama! With the babies and the regular one and the mama and the pet of course! Hehe, that would be adorable. But I haven't any money right now.

And I'm almost positive that would COULD get one to you from there. They ask where you are and then calculate your shipping accordingly.

ooh, that's a great thing, being able to make your own design. I have to say that I don't always approve of the designs Bandai has for the US tamas, I seem to always like the Japanese ones better. Maybe I'll try this out.
I so often think about getting a skin for my laptop but I think I would get bored of it really quikly. and it's so shiny and white as it is, maybe I'll consider it if it gets scratched or something

Omg really? I love you for that. But I'll hate you as soon as I'll see the cost/price.
Thanks anyhow, I'm goign to try and see.

By the way, if you ever successfully(duh- you will!!) design the Kuchi Kuchi family, send over the design(the pics and all the surff you've used) and I'll copy it for sure! XP

dilja: but omg @ you. To be honest, Bandai America has got the best Tamagotchi designs since Gen1! ;O
Take Summer Spring V4 for example. It's the most beautiful Tamagotchi I've ever seen!
Or the "Styled" V3 (that's by far the coolest!)

Seraphim: I have the sunflower one and I agree it's beautiful but I think it's one of a few that's really eye catching for me. And I really don't like the Styled V3, but that's just my opinion Smiley I love the new fami tama look and my rainbow V3 which is from Singapor

What I wouldn't do for the Styled V3.
But yea, I like the Famitama's look, too.
And I love your V3! Very pretty.

I just wish I had the courage to walk around in crowds with my "girly" colored Tama's.
Maybe in the near future, when everbody ain't that judging or accusing one for being homosexual for carrying around Tama's.

I used the Tamagotchi Tego maker - it lets you upload photos from your PC so... to give me a little more confidence to walk around with my Tama, I actually used photos of my fiance to decorate my Tama skin!! Really really bad photos of him sleeping!!

Try it - put someone you love on your Tamagotchi, that way they'll be happy when they see you playing with it
