Does anyone know how to get certain characters in the tamagotchi gameboy version? I've tried everything and end up with the same characters: Masktchi, Zukitchi, Hashizotchi, Kuchipatchi (most common), Takotchi, Nyrotchi, Tarakotchi, Kusatchi, and sometimes Bill. I once had Ginjirotchi, but that was pure luck. I even accidentally praised him when he needed discipline! I just need to know how to get someone new. I tried the Mimitchi carrot thing and Pochitchi bread thing, but nothing. just got Kuchipatchi and Tarakotchi. I'm out of ideas. Please help if possible. Thank you.

Well, 100% discipline and the carrot- only diet should work to get a Mimitchi. What you've forgot is that you've also got to pump up his intelligence! Yes, it's extremely stupid, but a must. >_<
And of course: take perfect care of your teen. ;x

At least that's how I got him. Twice.
So I'm pretty sure it's working. Otherwise I've had pure luck or something. ;O

Anyhow, hope that helps. ;]

I'm pretty sure I did intelligence (though maybe I missed it). I know I did body completely. By perfect care, do you mean including catching him when he's going to poop? (much more confusing than the actual one, that's for sure!)

Not at all.
I've never caught him when he's about to poop.
I just feed him carrots when he was hungry, played that <-- or --> game and "studied" math with him 'till he evolved into a Mimitchi.
He had a full intelligence meter.
I don't think I did anything special, just the stuff mentioned above.

Oh, btw. Hatch him from the black egg. ;O

One part still confuses me. When he starts sulking,(Or at least that's what it looks like) but his Deeds meter is full, What do I do? Scolding him just seems to make him freak out, and Praising seems to do absolutely nothing.

Did you check his Happyness meter?
Unless they've full appy hearts they'll sulk, whine or just be pretty pissed.
It could also mean that he've caught a cold and need pils + a shoot.

I've also noticed that sometimes they're suprised(looks like they're sulking) for no reason at all.
If it's an animation or not I do not know. :x

He was perfectly happy, and I didn't see a skull. (Or hear the sickness jingle) He just did an animation that usually, when he does it, I scold him & his deeds meter goes up. Problem is, he still does it even when he's fully disciplined.

Won't hurt to discipline some still. I think.
I've never really understood the GameBoy Tamagotchi.
I've managed to get Mametchi from the Gen2 healthy teen, somehow. o_O
I've also got Kuchipatchi and Smelly Feet from the Gen2 teen.  And Gen2 chars from Gen1 teens.. :X
Bottom line is: The game's confussing.

You're right there! It's confusing! By the way, I tried the method you suggested and ended up with a Kuchipatchi. Black egg and all, Kuchipatchi came to me. When you got Mimitchi/Mametchi, did you do any contests as a teen tama?

Weird. The black egg, the strict carrot died, full intelligence and perfect(discipline included) care should work. :3
Nah, I never did any contests at all. o_O

Gah, now you made me want to pick up my old GameBoy and the game and try it out again. XD
