WAO Kier actually got himself to post his idea! =D
Okay here it is...
Please note that this is a "hey, it'd be cool if.." kind of thing that would probably take a lot of work. One reason why I'm suggesting it so early.
Also please share any comments. ^^

Tamagotchi are closely related to eggs, obviously. How about, this Easter, we have an Easter egg hunt?
I'm not sure how it could be programmed -- be it with CSS or just manual post-editing by staff or something -- but relatively randomly throughout the Boards, small Tamagotchi eggs appear ((we already have the icons made out)). Clicking them results in some sort of gain obviously, but really, I'm mostly interested in the hunt.
Maybe it can be a contest, the one who finds the most Tamagotchis wins a prize -- anything from a custom sig to a limited edition real-life Tamagotchi,^* whatever you think.
Or maybe, clicking the eggs gives you a code that you can redeem for some privilege, or a part of a sentence you have to complete. Riddles? Scavenger Hunt clues?
Really I'd just like to see an event where we hunt the eggs. ^^

I really do like the idea, but I think it may just be too much work to do. What we members of TSS COULD do is perhaps take from a selection of eggs (I suppose I can draw some eggies up as little paint pixel things) and hide them in our own posts, putting a link to a site with a code word or code number, disguising our sneakiness as a new post. Other people would have to search ALL through the thread to find anything, or nothing at all! And then we can just go from there. The only problem I can see is people copying other's code numbers/letters... so maybe we can make them only one-time uses? Like, make a whole 'nother thread just to post the code numbers of the eggs we find in a list (Code/person whos post we found it in), and then the "owners" of those codes can verify them and say they are the actual codes.

I think I could provide prizes as little tama-of-your-choice adoptables to put into siggies....   

I think this idea could really be amazing if we get a lot of input into it. I like it already.

I like the sound of the idea, although I don't know if I understand it fully. Do you mean putting little pictures of eggs in our posts that are links to a page with a code on it?

Well I guess the easiest simplest way would be to have the staff edit random posts, and the link URL would be a .jpg ((gif, bmp, whatev)) url with a piece of a picture, and the first to get enough pieces to guess the whole picture wins or something like that.

Other people would have to search ALL through the thread to find anything, or nothing at all!

Yea, the eggs' spots would be rather scarce, but where would the fun be if you found one wherever you looked?
Like I said, I'm really just interested in the searching and finding the eggs..

Yeah that was what I meant in my own post. I think that we should disguise ourselves putting the easter eggs up in our posts by adding an entry (log) as well! Then people won't be able to tell if we added anything or not!. Elana you'll be the best at this since your log is well over 10 pages! =p

Yeah, I can add links to my geocities account and a site there, and just put a random combination of words and letters up and that can be the code! I didn't want to put too much work on Kat and Brendan... so I think we are totally capable of doing this all ourselves! Unless they want to join in the hunt.... that is =p

I've seen these games implemented in other sites with much success. It sounds like something to participate in.

The way I've seen it, the Image URLs for the eggs would be secret passwords or something, and whoever has all the correct passwords, gets a prize.

Or we could rig up some uber-complicated machine of code to keep track of it, but...that's no fun.

I think we can just create a thread where the players post their codes and edit their posts every time they find a new one! Or they can just post over and over again so that we can keep track of who got which code first (since editing a post can cause to be slightly inaccurate as someone can just say they got it first with almost no proof.. unless Kat can track what they edit when they edit it..?).

The way I've seen it, everyone kept their codes secret until the end so that someone couldn't just go to that thread and steal everyone else's codes. Then everyone PMs all their codes in to whoever is organizing and then whoever got all the right codes either receives a prize (if the prize is something small, and there's enough to go around for all the winners), or their name is put into a draw for the one prize.

But if we were to have it so that there's only one definite winner, I think your solution may be better.
