It looks like they have a piece of plastic covering the screen, I'm not sure those hearts are actually part of the background design.

That can't be Connexion V3 as all the European Connexions have "Tamagotchi" print above the screen with the P1/P2 logo font, as in the picture easherley posted.

I don't think its a European tamagotchi  either. But do you think that it could be an Asian one?

Probably.

Look, if you really want that design of Tamagotchi just type "Tamagotchi V3" on ebay and you'll find that Connexion design.
There's loads of 'em. I don't mean to be rude, it just sounds like it. Don't take it to heart. Please. ;P

Europe, Asia and Australia usually have the same designs/color. At least the first and second shipments/waves. After that Asia's getting treated better. I dunno about Australia but us Europeans are left behind in the dust. Heck, half of europe(95% of it actually) doesn't even have V4.5 yet.
You guys in US get treated better- way better. Cooler colors, mixtures, logos and what not.
Or designs are usually dull, boring and pale. Most of 'em are even baby-like. 0.0;

Thankfully you're not as spoiled/lucky as the japanese people, yet. ;P

Bla, bla. Typing loads as usual. Anyhow, back to the topic:
Is it a Connextion V3? Not a single chance.
Asian? It might be. Though I just want to point out this- Asian versions do also come with a ballchain and not some other -chain. Or am I wrong?
It looks pretty real to me though. Heck, it looks identical to the V3 easherly posted. Just missing the Tamagotchi text which all the asian, japan not included, tamagotchi's does.

i have a keitai (two actually) and one of them has that screen design, but doesn't have the two colums of hearts on the sides, which seem to have been added on anyway.

oh, and i have that zebra print V3 that has the same background screen design.

Something tells me it's a fake, but then again, maybe I'm just being paranoid. So far, all we know is the hearts were definitely added on especially since on the right side, you can see them overlapping part of the shell. I would consider with caution, but that's just me.

If it's really so easy to find, could you please provide some links and examples? That would settle this once and for all.

Because I tried your advice and didn't find any examples of this particular shell colour. But then again, I use eBay Canada.

Though I just want to point out this- Asian versions do also come with a ballchain and not some other -chain. Or am I wrong?

As I said in my first post in this thread, my Hong Kong V2 came with a hang-tag rather than a ball-chain, and I can only assume that the Asian V3s follow suit.

Heck, it looks identical to the V3 easherly posted. Just missing the Tamagotchi text which all the asian, japan not included, tamagotchi's does.

And, again, my Hong Kong V2 doesn't have the text on top either. (Sorry for repeating myself.)

Okay, the tamagotchi is DEFINITELY not fake..Like someone said, I think the hearts on the sides were only added after the fact..

I don't see why this is such a big deal, I mean not to be rude or anything Anna but why didn't you just contact the seller..? LOL

Actually, Nik, I did. They weren't sure so I asked them again and rephrased my question. I asked them if they could just put batteries in again since it's out of the box already anyway and just tell me if English or Japanese words come up through the screens.

Honestly though, I think it would have sounded a bit nicer if you just asked "Did you ask the seller?" instead of adding that disclaimer. It wasn't really rude, I think I'm just sensitive.

It's not like I really meant for this thread to cause any tension or anything... I was just asking for some help...

Don't worry about it, Anna, thats one of the reasons TSS exists, to help people out with whatever they may need help with. Besides, I'm glad you posted this, it has almost been a game just trying to figure out what kind it really is.  Grin
