Ok, so I have a Tamagotchi, it is a red and black V3, and it was in the teen stage. All of a sudden it just fell down and passed away. It was perfectly healthy! It was full on hungry, it had no poops, wasn't sick... It might've been empty on happy but that doesn't really make a difference, does it? One night I was bored and I wasn't tired and my tama was already asleep. So, I changed the time on it to 2 P.M. so I could play with it a little. I only did it once, and that wasn't enough to make it die when it was just a teenager! Please help this is so confusing!  Huh

All I can tell you is that as far as I know, the V3 has a lot of glitches that come with it. It could just have been another glitch, or maybe your tama was sick and you didn't see it in time? I'm sorry to hear about your loss though.

I seriously doubt it was sick. I was holding it and I was about to feed it a snack when all of a sudden, it just died.  No offense, but how could I miss it when I am holding it?

Well, honestly, how could I have known you were holding it if you didn't mention that? I said what I could with the information I had. But I don't know, I just know that V3s are very glitchy.

Healthy is true, but there is instance in Tamagotchi Connections in any version 2 and up that if sick, more than 3ish times, I notice even in perfect health or playing a game the tama will just keel over and pass on. Healthy character or not, this does happen if sick one too many times.

I suggest keep track of how many times your tamagotchi gets sick since birth. The only time I think where the sickness does not count is when it has a child and the child will be leaving soon. It tends to get sick then even if you don't have any hearts drop the entire growing process. If you do get another dying tamagotchi, during thie dying stage hit reset and then continue, but it will only work during dying, not when it's dead and not falling on it's face anymore.

Hope that helps some.

This was very useful information, thanks for that!

I also thought that if a character goes empty on hearts three times, the third time will be its last. So if your teen was indeed empty on happy hearts as you suspect, I think it might have made a difference too, if that had happened to it a few times already.

I'm not 100% sure on that information, I think I read it somewhere, but I've been too afraid to test it.

Unfortunately through raising a lot of tamagotchis at once, there have been some instances where I should of been raising less at the time and one day at college I had a few of them die on me out of the blue and I was thinking "what did I do wrong?" So I looked into it further after those bad couple of days and looked through my previous logs of them, and noticed a pattern with getting sick too much. This is how I concluded with the V2's.

My V4's same kind of instance. I was almost at generation 10 on a couple of my guys and I guess I was stressed or something because I did not take as well care of them than I should have and same kind of thing when I looked back: Got sick too much, in around teen-adult it keeled over. So same kind of thing I concluded with the V4's.

I'm assuming with the V3's this is also how it is, but I haven't had any die from my memory or logs I keep. At any rate I learned from my mistake and I keep track now how often they are sick. I also pause them if I feel too busy or stressed since I apparently don't care of them as well in that time...and worse case scenario I know the "keep them from dying trick with reset" thing to do if need be. Haven't had to since I became more diligent.
