The sequel to Tamagotchi Corner Shop and Corner Shop 2 have been released in Japan under name "Tamagotch no Puchi Puchi Omise-cchi Minna Thank You!" (translates to: Tamagotchi Petit Petit Store-tchi Everybody Thank You!)

I couldn't find translation to word "omisecchi" but it seems that it refers to the "corner store" in every Tama Corner Shop game name as "mise" = shop/store and "o" in the beginning of a word is some kind of polite add-on in speak...thou I don't know why it is there in the beginning of word "mise" (shop).

The first Corner Shop game was called "Tamagotch no Puchi Puchi Omise-cchi" in Japan (translates to: Tamagotchi Petit Petit Store-tchi) and the sequel was called "Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omise-cchi Gouhi-Kini" (which translates about into: Tamagotchi Petit Petit Store-tchi: Success or Failure).

Last week (24th to 30th of September 2007) Tamagotchi Corner Shop 3 was 4th in the Japan's TOP10 of top selling videogames. The 3 titles that beat it in sales were "Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon 2: Exploration in Time & Exploration in Darkness", "Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core" and (how expectably) "Halo 3".

This was Corner Shop 3's first week in sales and we'll see in future how succesful it is going to be.

Tama Corner Shop has sold 1.35 million copies worldwide (1.1 million of this in Japan)
Sale records for Corner Shop 2 can't be found.

There is no USA/Europe release date yet announced for Tamagotchi Corner Shop 3.

Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisecchi: Minna Thank You! was drop from TOP10 selling videogames list place 4th to place 10 in past week, selling 19'630 units.

Propably the game won't be in TOP10 anymore in next week, but compared to Halo 3 - last week's #1 selling game in Japan - that is now in place 36th, being 10th is a good result
