Glad to see you again! Seems we all have moved on from raising our tamas, but we never will forget them. The same goes for this forum and everyone in it. We've stuck through a lot. The good, the bad, and everything in between. In a way, we were more than a forum of tama lovers, we were a sort of family. And like all families, we may move on with our lives, but we never forget our past experiences and people we've met. We may not be in TSS anywhere near as much as we used to, but the fact that this topic even exists proves it was more than just a casual hangout to chat. Much more.

Hi everyone! Chi here. I haven't posted on this site in over five years, but today I was thinking about my Tamagotchis and I decided to visit and see how you all were doing. My Tamagotchis are sitting in my childhood home in my dresser drawer right now. I've moved out of my parent's house and am an out-of-state college student studying Japanese. Next week I'm visiting Japan for ten days. It will be my first trip there, and I'm so excited! These days I have no time for Tamas, but they still hold a special place in my heart. Mimitchi.com holds a special place in my heart, too. It's the website I used to learn how to take care of my Tamagotchis when I first got them in 2005 and 2006. This is also the first online forum I ever used. I remember when I used to daydream about having a real-life reunion with Mimitchi, TigerLily013, GameAW and others. (I still remember all of your names!) I also still remember the ISS Space Moth. When I logged back on just now after all these years, I was still so proud of my little banner in my signature!! I hope you all also remember me fondly. I know the circumstances by which some of us stopped using the forum were a little unfortunate, but I think we should all remember the thing which brought us together in the first place--that is, Tamagotchis.

Hey, GameAW! Congrats on the move I've done some moving, myself... since I'm now a university student ^^; Gosh, I feel so old, saying that and knowing how long I've been registered on these forums... I have to fly between here and home but I don't mind, it's nice being alone, haha! ...and honestly I think that next time I go home (only a few more days... and a few more exams...) I'll take a Tamagotchi back to school with me >_> Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose...

Been a while, TSS! I had big news that wouldn't feel right if I didn't post it on a place this important to me. So, after a lot of things that happened, that I'd gladly say here, but mom kinda likes to overreact and doesn't want to have it here, I no longer live in Florida. I now am in Washington! State, not D.C. We got a small town called Vancouver (And I mistook it for the other one. ^^; and needless to say, I'm loving it! What's new with everyone else?

Thanks Kat :3 I hope you're doing alright too! ========== Doubtful (m)any people read this any more, but I post when I want!! Remember this guy? I wouldn't have either, it's ok. But, it's a cheapo "digital pet" that I own, it was about $5 (cdn...) Well, since I had nothing better to do (<- a lie) I took some video of it. Unfortunately, my camera's batteries died during the process, but their sacrifice will be remember in the form of two youtube videos of a girl with fat hands playing with a knockoff tamagotchi. Here's what happens immediately after putting the batteries in. You can probably tell, I'm holding the battery door on. The screw died so the door's held on with tape. Classy life. Here's what the interface looks like. It's interesting to me because of just how bad it is. It's terrible! If I had made this I would be ashamed of myself! XD When I have batteries again, I'll take some video of the wide assortment of quality games available on this pet. It's truly incredible... ...if you happen to have time travelled here from the 1700s I'm in dire need of CR 2032s, I guess I know what I'm picking up from the dollar store tomorrow... ...y'know, besides 'New Moon: The Movie: The Card Game'. Unfortunately, that is something that is happening in my life.

There's a recurring dream I have every couple months, and it's the most frustrating thing in the world. I dream that I'm at a Walmart, or something similar, and there's an aisle full of bizarre, obscure VPs. I, of course, have no money, and no-one's willing to lend me any.
I've been digging around old Group Hatch logs and feeling all warm and at home :3 This forum is/was best forum.
Anyway, time flies, and I'm off to my first year of university in September. I imagine I'll bring one or two tamas with me, tamagotchi are pretty much my go-to stress management resource, hahah XD But if I only have room to have one or two... which ones do I bring, you guys? D:
Also, now that I have a decent grasp on how the heck photography works, I think I'll try to put aside some time to do a photo log (maybe even with some videos?!) of some of my off-brand VPs, particularly I want to showcase Kimiko Baby Byte, since y'all know it was my first and it's got a special place in my heart. :3

Funny thing is, when the original furby came out, it was about $80. I very much remember this...So honestly $60 isn't that bad. I may get one when the hype calms down and if I have the funds

http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/06/furby-hands-on-video/There's a new Furby coming later this year!! Unfortunately, this model will start at around $60. Watch the video! This new one looks a lot like the '90s Furby but with more super-deformed features, LED eyes (like a high-res version of Poo-Chi, interesting!) and oh my god it moves so much, it's so cute! Which is good because while the facial features on the 2000s Furby was impressive at the time, it quickly fell into the uncanny valley in a huge way... Looks, as well, like they ditched the off switch (damn them!!) but included, again, the music recognition from Funky Furby, which is nice. The personality change process looks creepy and would probably terrify me as a kid... but the concept reminds me of the Meowchi, which, if I remember correctly, would have a different personality based on how you treated it through it's 'kitten' stage. I don't think Tiger/Hasbro ever really gets rid of concepts, haha... Tablet interaction was not something I imagined would ever happen... and frankly it seems like a bad idea to me, but I guess parents who can afford a $60 toy probably gave their kids an iPad a long time ago anyway... ~_~ The reviewers only have the blue furby, but from the box art there should be at least 4 colours.
